Worsted weight yarn
Size P hook
Use 2 strands of yarn throughout
Each strip approximately 4 inches wide.
Center:
Row 1: Ch 4, join. Ch 3, 4 dc in ring.
Row 2: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in each dc across, dc in ch-3 (4 dc, one ch-3).
Rep row 2 until desired length (note: last row and boarder will be add approximately 1 inch to ends).
Last row: Ch 3, skip first dc, dc in next dc, ch 3, skip one dc, dc in next dc, dc in ch-3.
Fasten off yarn. Weave in ends.
Boarder:
Join with sc in beg ch-4, (sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in same ch, working around end sts of each row, work 2 sc, rep to end, in end ch work (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc), working around end sts of each row, work 2 sc, rep to first sc, join with sl st to frist sc.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
To join strips, skip 4 sc from each end and sew tog using tapestry needle and the same color of yarn that matches the boarder.
