This can be used for Easter, bridal party, or just as a just because gift. I think using the color cling wrap would make it nice (if the basket is made in white). Ribbon weaved through the rnds would give it a nice color. Perhaps a bow or rose somewhere on it (the handle perhaps?).

3 inches high without handle
2 inches wide
Speed cro-sheen (or thick cotton thread)
Size 1 steel crochet hook
(Optional: fabric stiffener, as needed. I didnt need any as speed cro-sheen if fairly stiff to begin with).
Rnd 1: Ch 4, join with sl st to form a ring. Ch 3, 2 dc in ring, *ch 2, 3 dc in ring, rep from * 2 more times, ch 2, join with sl st to beg ch 3 (4 ch-2 spaces).
Rnd 2: Sl st to ch-2, ch 3 (2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in same sp, * ch 1, (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in next ch-2 sp, rep from * 2 more times, ch 1, join with sl st to beg ch 3.
Rnd 3-5: Rep row 2.
Handle:
Sl st to ch-3, ch 4, dc in same sp, *ch 4, dc in 4th ch from hook, rep from 4 more times (6 scallops) skip next ch-2, join with sl st to ch-2.
Fasten off, weave in ends.
