Worsted weight yarn
Size P hook
(Note: Use 2 strands of yarn throught. I used one strands one color and one of white).
Row 1: Ch 15, sc 2nd ch from hook and each ch across (14 sc).
Row 2: Ch 3, skip first sc, dc in each sc across (13 dc, one ch-3)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each dc, sc in beg ch-3 (14 sc).
Rep rows 2 & 3 until desired width of head.
Fasten off weave in ends. Sew first and last row together. Weave yarn through top ends of hat and pull tight, sew up any opening.
Brim:
Join yarn to bottom of hat with sc. Sc evenly around. Continue to sc around until desired length is achieved. If a rolled brim is wanted, continue crocheting.
